About eighty-five percent of employees (including managers) are not engaged in their jobs.
Many mid to senior level managers live a life of bondage because, well being of family and future of their kids is inseparable from their employment. It’s not just beginners, even after twenty-five years of working life some of us cannot face up to the situation of three months without the ultimate bondage ’Salary credited’ message that pops up monthly. Yet this issue is not just of money, because even those who are financially well off (not dependent on job) just want to continue working at a job because it gives them the comfort of not having to do, or search for what to do ? If not this job then what?
We are looking at two different scenarios, one where a person is tied up due to the salary and another where he/she can afford to do without salary but just can’t make up mind to come out off a happiness stealing job.
Both are in need of help, albeit different ways
Let’s accept it ‘Job security” as a concept is outdated. The only security is one that you create for yourself.
It is because of lack of this security most of us continue in environments that eat away at our happiness and make us compromise on our self-respect. You may think it’s only ‘You” you’re doing it ,accepting it all for your family but think again, are you NOT carrying the ‘state of mind’ home? If your are bringing home the frustrations and losing even some little quality of your family life, then you must seek help.
Have the courage to seek help, talk to your friends, elders find a coach, read, but find a way out. because you deserve better.
You deserve to be more happy. Agree ? Then talk about it. The solution is much easier than it seems
